FAQ's

  • Your booked time is your start time.
If you have booked a 10am session, your safety briefing starts at 10am.

Before this, you need to make sure you have been to the toilet, organised a locker (if you need one), checked in and done anything else you need to do.

We recommend allowing 15 minutes before your start time to do all of the above. Please plan your visit accordingly and add additional travel and parking time to the 15 minutes.

*If you miss your safety briefing, you may miss out on climbing all together.

  • Only climbers 18 years or older need to sign our safety waiver!

  • TreeClimb has been years in the making. The City of Adelaide and the Adelaide Park Lands Authority have been instrumental in guiding and advising us to ensure every environmental consideration has been considered. TreeClimb has been designed to leave no everlasting footprint to the environment. We hope through our Education Trail (in the tree tops and from the ground) and awareness of the environment through participation, we are encouraging a greener way.

Safety

  • We climb rain or shine but if you are uncertain about the weather forecast, as long as we have at least 48 hours notice we are more than happy to reschedule your climb.

We do expect occasional bursts of extreme weather. These may include periods of lightning or extremely high winds. If in these extreme events the park may need to be closed for that period.

In this instance, if your session is affected, we will offer you an option to reschedule and enjoy your climb once the weather has cleared. You will receive a notification from us prior to your climb in the event of a bad weather forecast.

If you do not receive any notification, you may safely assume your climb is going ahead.

  • To reduce fire risk and ensure public safety, Kuitpo Forest is closed to all visitors on days of Total Fire Ban, this includes TreeClimb.

Fire danger ratings and bans are declared by the Country Fire Service (CFS) after 4pm on the day before the rating is to take effect, and published on their website.

If you have a booking on the day of a Total Fire Ban, TreeClimb will contact you by email the night before. If you would like to reschedule ahead of time, please contact us during office hours 9am - 3pm the day before.

For fire ban information phone 1800 362 361 or visit the CFS website. Being aware of a potential closure is your responsibility.

We understand there will be some instances where climbers will not be able to complete a course due to fitness, phobia or nerves. If you are required to have a Crew member “rescue” you from one of our courses, unfortunately, you will not be able to return to the course that day.

  • Yes! All climbers (this includes repeat climbers) must complete our Safety Training before beginning their climb.

  • We disinfect our equipment, including harnesses and helmets daily. You're more than welcome to bring your own hair net and even purchase a TreeClimb hat or wear your own hat underneath your helmet for extra protection!

We strongly encourage public transport, car-pooling or being prepared for a short walk from your car.

  • DRIVE

TreeClimb Kuitpo Forest is best accessed by car.
Please allow extra travel time due to the windy roads, wild life and small towns around us.

There is still a short 5 minute walk to the Eco Hut from the car. Please factor this into your arrival time.

Please be mindful of the land and fauna around us. Only park in the designated parking spaces.

    IMPORTANT
Some smart maps are going to direct you to the Chookarloo Campground. This is a small walk from the Eco Hut. Their gates are open 24/7 between 1 April to 30 November. However outside of those dates the gate will be locked from 4pm! Be Careful.

Allow 20-30 minutes either side of your climbing duration for arrival, check-in and completion of the courses.

Please note, you are not guaranteed to complete all smaller courses within the course you are booked. You simply have a set duration to complete what you can on the day. If you're running low on time towards the end of your climb, our crew will likely put you on a course that is running quicker so that you get the most out of your time.

  • Your booked time is your start time.
If you arrive late, we will do the best we can to put you in the next available harnessing time. This will unfortunately not extend your climb time (i.e. if you are meant to start at 10:00am to 12:00pm but arrive at 10:30am, regardless of what time we can get you in, you will still finish at 12:00pm).
